Transport Åland

We deliver every day in Åland and handle both groupage and part loads, as well as chilled and frozen transports.

To the archipelago we offer deliveries of larger goods on selected days, while letters and parcels are distributed every weekday. We offer local pickup and delivery in Åland in connection with our transports, and we can also help with warehousing if needed.

Transport Finland

We have our own terminal in Turku and departures to/from Turku and Helsinki every day Sun–Fri. With daily routes we reach Helsinki, Turku and the surrounding areas with our own vehicles, and the rest of Finland through partners.

We handle everything from part loads to full trailers, including temperature-sensitive goods.

Transport Sweden

We offer daily transports between Åland and Sweden, covering Stockholm and the surrounding area. For the rest of Sweden we work with reliable partners. We make sure that export declarations and import customs clearance are in order, for simple and smooth transports. Goods to Stockholm are handled through our partnerships with several terminals.

Express freight

We take your urgent deliveries seriously and help you find the fastest solution. We handle everything from smaller shipments, such as letters and parcels, to larger deliveries. Thanks to our partners we can offer express deliveries worldwide. Your goods are transported to our partners, flown onwards and then delivered directly to the recipient by express courier.

Do you have regular transports? Our web-based freight booking helps you plan and keep track of your bookings, while we take care of the logistics from door to door.

Book your transports around the clock, whenever it suits you best.

Before you book your transport with Åland Post, there are a few important things to know:

General terms of transport

All our international assignments are subject to the General Conditions of the Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders, NSAB 2015.

Our domestic assignments are subject to the Finnish Road Transport Contracts Act, FFS 345/1979. Read the act on the Finlex website.

Compensation model for transport damage 

Any transport damage is compensated in accordance with the terms of transport. The model is based on the actual weight of the goods. If you have high-value goods, we recommend that you take out your own transport insurance with your insurance company.

Room to realise your vision

You can rent space in our modern, adaptable premises.
We also offer short-term storage of smaller quantities of goods.

Additional services & service fees

Urgent delivery
For parcels and goods that need to be sent immediately. We pick up the same day or as quickly as possible.
Price: 50% surcharge on the standard freight price.

Phone booking
Book your freight by phone.
Price: €8.00 per booking.

Phone notification
Get a notification when we are on our way with your delivery.
Price: €5.00 per shipment.

Physical proof of delivery (POD)
Get a copy of the signed receipt.
Price: €8.00 per receipt.

Carrying in/out
We help with carrying during loading or unloading.
Price: €18.00 per started quarter of an hour (15 minutes).

Fixed loading/unloading time
Choose a specific time for loading or unloading.
Price: €5.00 per occasion.

Receiving fee - Turku terminal:

Receiving fee: €8.60 per shipment
Shipments with 12 pallet spaces or more: €50.00
