Important things to consider
- The goods must be packed so that they can withstand normal transport and being loaded together with other goods.
- The packaging must suit how fragile the goods are and must not damage other goods.
- A consignment note is required and must include the correct recipient name, address, number of packages, weight, volume and contact details. If the goods are classed as dangerous goods, this must also be stated, as well as information on whether they are subject to customs duty.
