   Improved Signage Makes It Easier to Find the Right Entrance at the Sviby Postal Terminal

   Following feedback from our customers, we have improved the signage for the vehicle entrances along Flygfältsvägen. It is now clearer which entrance to use. One sign directs visitors to the Sviby Post Office and parcel collection point, using the official postal symbol. The other, marked Cargo and featuring a lorry symbol, directs freight traffic to the correct entrance, making it easier for heavy vehicles to find their way. The new signs were developed in collaboration with the Infrastructure Department and the Roads Authority of the Åland Government.

   Meet some of our summer employees

   This summer we are receiving valuable reinforcement from more than 30 summer workers across our operations – both new faces and returning colleagues. Thanks to them, letters and parcels continue to reach their destinations even during the holiday season. Jake and Thomas work as drivers. Nelly, Tilde, Emmanuel, Staffan, Olivia, Johannes, Lina, Simon and Otto deliver mail in the town and the countryside, and Jenny assists our customers at the post office. We are delighted to have them on our team. Every one of our summer employees is an important part of Åland Post and contributes to continued safe and reliable service this summer.

   Åland Post expands transport capacity with new vehicle combinations

   Åland Post expands transport capacity with new vehicle combinations Åland Post has introduced two new Scania trucks and temperature-controlled DUO trailers from Schmitz Cargobull for traffic between Åland and Finland. The investment increases transport capacity by almost 30 per cent and marks another step in the company’s long-term efforts towards smarter logistics solutions. Increased capacity for goods between Åland and the Finnish mainland From Thursday 11 June, Åland Post will operate new 34-metre vehicle combinations between Åland and the Turku region. With two trailers behind a truck tractor, we can transport more goods per journey. Load capacity increases from 51 to 66 pallet spaces – an increase of nearly 30 per cent – strengthening our ability to meet our customers’ transport needs. “We are pleased to continue our long-standing partnership with Scania and to begin a new collaboration with Schmitz Cargobull,” says Kennet Uotila, Fleet Manager at Åland Post Logistics. By increasing capacity and reducing fuel consumption for the same volume of goods transported, we are taking another step forward in our long-term efforts to build more sustainable logistics.
