Volumetric weight calculation
A parcel can be light but still take up a lot of space. For this reason, volume is converted to weight by counting each cubic metre as 250 kg. You pay for whichever is higher, the actual weight or the volumetric weight.
Delivery
Priority Parcel is a transport service that covers large parts of the world. In some countries the parcel can be delivered to the recipient, with electronic tracking. In countries where delivery of Priority Parcels to the recipient is included and the recipient cannot be reached at delivery, the parcel is taken to the recipient's local post office. The parcel can be picked up within the storage time set by the destination country. If the parcel is not picked up within the storage time, it is returned to the sender for a new transport fee. Åland Post is not responsible for delays caused by customs in the destination country or if the sender has not attached the required documents.
