E-service or wellness vouchers
The wellness benefit can be given as an e-service, a personal wellness account on the mobile phone, or as personal wellness vouchers. The wellness benefit can be used for payment at a large number of exercise, culture and massage providers in Åland.
The service is set up according to the Finnish Tax Administration's guidelines

For exercise and culture, your employees always have access to all providers in the range. For massage, you as the employer can choose from our range of massage providers which ones your employees can use the benefit with.
The benefit as an e-service or as vouchers
As an employer, you order the wellness benefit as an e-service, a personal wellness account on the mobile phone, or as personal wellness vouchers. If you wish, you can give the e-service to some employees and vouchers to others. You decide the size of the wellness benefit, how often you want to order and, of course, which benefits you want to give your employees. The wellness benefit is valid for a full calendar year, so the last day of validity is always 31 December of the year you order for.
E-service
With the e-service, your employees always have their wellness benefits conveniently at hand on their mobile phone. The e-service is safe and easy to use. This electronic service is good for the environment, as no paper is used for vouchers and no transport is needed for distribution.
Benefits of the e-service:
- The e-service is more affordable, as there is no ordering fee.
- You do not need to hand out vouchers to your employees.
- With the e-service, you have more freedom to decide which benefits you give your employees.
- If an employee leaves your company and has not used their full wellness balance, you as the employer can easily deactivate them, and they will then no longer have access to their wellness account.
Wellness vouchers
There are three different vouchers for different wellness benefits: exercise vouchers, exercise and culture vouchers and massage vouchers. The employer, the employee's name and the last day of validity (31 December) are pre-printed on the vouchers. The vouchers are delivered by Friskvård.ax and handed out to the employee by the employer.
Exercise and exercise/culture
The vouchers for exercise and exercise/culture always have a value of €5 per voucher. They are printed on perforated A4 sheets with 10 vouchers per sheet. These vouchers can be used with all providers.
Massage
The employer chooses the amount to subsidise per massage session, up to a maximum of €50. This value is then printed on the massage vouchers. Only one massage voucher can be used per massage session. The massage vouchers are also printed on perforated A4 sheets. For the massage benefit, the employer can choose from the range of massage providers which ones the employees can use the benefit with.
The vouchers are personal
When you pay with a voucher, the provider will ask for ID. The vouchers are for personal use and cannot be exchanged for cash. The vouchers have a barcode that protects them against copying and misuse.
