Unaddressed direct marketing (ODR)

• Specific target groups: ODR can be sent to specific recipient groups such as households, detached houses, farmers or businesses.
• Flexible distribution: You can choose to send to the whole of Åland or limit the mailing to specific delivery areas or municipalities.
• Households that decline advertising: ODR is not delivered to households that have opted out of advertising, except for public information (it must be free of advertising, marked "Samhällsinformation" (public information) and approved by Åland Post in advance).

Recipient groups and numbers:

• Households: approx. 13 000
• Detached houses: approx. 9 700
• Farmers: approx. 750
• Businesses: approx. 3 300

Delivery time for ODR:

• Normal delivery: Within six working days.
• Faster option: Delivery can also take place within two or four days if booked in advance.

Booking and material drop-off for ODR:

• All deliveries must be booked in advance by phone or via the Customer Portal.

• The material must be handed in bundled according to the instructions given when you book, and marked "ODR till utdelningen" (ODR for delivery). It must be at the postal terminal in Sviby no later than 12:00 on the day before delivery starts. If the drop-off is late, delivery is postponed by one day.
• Bundling: The material must be bundled so that it holds together during handling, with bundle labels that you receive when you book. The Post can also do the bundling for an additional fee. Any surplus copies are not kept.

Addressed direct marketing (ADR)

• ADR can be sent within Åland and to Finland.
• All ADR items must be marked with Åland Post's ADR symbol or the word "Massbrev" (bulk mail).
• Content and quantity: The items must have the same content, size and weight. The minimum invoiced quantity is 1 000 items, but it can be worthwhile even with fewer.
• Invoices or private messages may not be sent as ADR.

Preparing ADR items:

• Hand them in at the post office pre-sorted and bundled, together with a posting list.
• Sorting requirements within Åland: If there are at least 20 items to the same post office, they must be sorted into separate post office bundles by postal code.
• Sorting requirements for Finland: Items to Finland must be bundled in ascending postal code order according to Posti's instructions (check the current information).
• Bundling: Bundling is done with a strapping machine, clear plastic wrapping or other packaging that ensures the bundles hold together during handling.

Additional services:
The Post offers help with sorting and bundling for a fee. Let our delivery department know at least three days before posting if you need this service.

Dimensions and weight for ADR:

• Minimum size: 9 cm x 13 cm
• Maximum size: 25 cm x 40 cm x 3 cm
• Maximum weight: 2 kg Items larger than the maximum size are handled and invoiced as large letters (economy) or postal parcels.
