Important things to consider when you receive your goods

• Carefully check the number of packages against the consignment note
• Check the condition of the packaging
• Note on the consignment note if any goods are missing or if the packaging or goods are damaged

When you make your notes, it is important that they are on the receipt part, that is the part where you confirm/sign that you have received the goods and which the driver keeps. Describe what you see and what is damaged. Take photos of the damage if you can.

Contact Åland Post straight away, as well as your insurance company if you have separate cargo insurance. Preferably on the same day, but no later than 7 days after receiving the goods.
