New colleague: Therese Nordlund strengthens our work in compliance and safety

In December, Therese Nordlund joined Åland Post as Compliance and Safety Coordinator. In her new role, she will help create and develop a safe and secure working environment for the entire organization.

Therese Nordlund is certified Safety and Security Coordinator and holds a master’s degree in Risk Management. She has previously worked in safety and emergency preparedness within the public sector, gaining experience in handling complex situations and working in a structured way to ensure security.

“I will primarily be responsible for the organization’s risk management in areas of safety and business continuity. This includes developing and refining policies, guidelines, and frameworks for safety and compliance, as well as collaborating with different parts of the organization to ensure proactive work,” says Therese.

What attracted her to the position was Åland Post’s societal mission and long-standing history.

“It’s a local Åland company with an important role and a strong foundation. The opportunity to contribute to something meaningful while building on what already works was very appealing to me.”

After her first months, Therese describes the workplace as welcoming and engaged.

“It’s clear that employees enjoy working here and that many have been part of the organization for a long time. There’s a family-like atmosphere, and I have received a very positive reception. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the different parts of the organization and working together with all the skilled colleagues.”
