When you receive a package from overseas that needs to clear customs you can do everything online. In collaboration with Posti and Åland Post the Customs have developed a web service that enables customers to file a customs declaration online.

The service concerns postal packages sent to private individuals. Domestic packages from, for example, Ellos, H&M or Hobby hall are consequently not subjected to this customs clearance.

Use internet bank codes

Your internet bank access codes allow you to log in to the web service and do your customs declaration at the same time as you settle the customs charges through your internet bank.

Easy for the customer

When you receive an arrival notice from Åland Post that your package is available for collection there will also be information about what to do if you want to do an online customs declaration. When the customs decision has been paid Customs will automatically advise Åland Post that the shipment is ready for release or driving out to the customer.
